In the midst of ruin and uncertainty, it is easy to succumb to the ever-present darkness, to let the weight of despair snuff out the spark within. But we, my fellow travelers, we choose a different path. We have embraced the call to carry the fire, to nurture it, to let it consume us until we become a beacon of light in this desolate expanse.
We are the torchbearers, the keepers of the flame. But don’t forget, there are others who bear different flowing and adaptable energies, like water. When fire meets water, it creates steam—which can propel us all forward into hope.
So let us not waver, let us not falter, for we are the carriers of the fire, and it is our solemn duty to pass it on, brighter and fiercer than before so that we can continue to be one with the water and together be that steam….that steam that IS the hope in this world.
